Tony Finau’s wife breaks silence on LIV Golf rumors after Tiger Woods pulls out of event.

Tony Finau has been rumored to be moving to LIV Golf for some time, with rumors intensifying in recent weeks, but his wife has now spoken out about the situation.

Alaina Finau, wife of golfer Tony Finau, has commented on rumors surrounding her husband’s possible move to LIV Golf. Speculation has been rife ever since Tony, 35, pulled out of the upcoming Hero World Challenge Tiger Woods event. Finau was expected to join the Saudi support circle, especially since his good friend Jon Rahm is already part of the Region XIII team. When it was announced on Monday that Toney had withdrawn from the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas and would be replaced by Sepp Straka, rumors began flying. The tournament, hosted by golf great Woods, will take place from December 5-8 in Albany and will feature several PGA Tour big names, including Scottie Scheffler, Keegan Bradley and Jason Day. Following Tony’s withdrawal, Alayna took to TikTok to share a short video in which she expressed her desire to have no more “drama.” In the video, Alaina can be seen quietly saying, “My life is hard enough as it is. All I need is more drama.” » The camera then cuts to a shirtless Tony by the pool, smiling and waving “hang love,” as a voiceover continues, “Hello, drama.”

Finau’s last big performance was at the Presidents Cup in September, where he finished 2-2-0 and helped Team USA win the trophy in Montreal, Canada.

He has attracted attention not only for his play, but also for a possible move from the PGA Tour to the lucrative LIV Golf Series. This is not the first time he has withdrawn from a tournament. Last October, he missed the Black Desert Championship to focus on training his son.

With Kieran Vincent losing his card and creating a vacancy on the Region XIII team, Finau’s transfer could spark a bidding war between teams seeking his skill set. Unlike some of his PGA colleagues, who have openly criticized the Saudi-backed LIV golf team, Finau has remained largely neutral and even voiced support for his good friend Rahm’s move to LIV.
