Amanda Balionis has steadily risen up the broadcasting ranks over the last two decades, but it appears as though the reporter has found a permanent home at CBS.
Upon graduating from Hofstra University in 2008, Balionis kicked off her career reporting on high school sports for Verizon Fios Channel 1 and MSG Networks. Then, in 2011, she took her talents to the PGA Tour, serving as an in-house reporter and personality making digital content for the organization’s website.
Balionis would eventually join Callaway Golf as a digital reporter in 2016 before moving to CBS one year later. As a golf reporter, she provided on-site coverage at a handful of tournaments that season.
In 2018, the network brought Balionis on as a full-time member of the team. In her current role, she is estimated to earn an annual salary valued anywhere from $40,000 to $140,000 and is believed to be worth approximately $1 million.
Balionis’ salary likely leans closer towards the higher end of that scale, however, considering the broadcaster has proven to be an incredibly important asset when it comes to golf, NFL and college football coverage. Her long standing tenure at CBS additionally increases her value.
Over the last six years with the television broadcasting company, Balionis has developed a tight-knit bond with many of her coworkers. On the heels of Xander Schauffele’s thrilling victory over Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy at the PGA Championship last month, the 39-year-old praised her CBS team for their incredible work covering the tournament.
